Over 300 racers, 1500 head to head race starts, and immeasurable smiles were witnessed at Sunshine Village for the 5th Annual Rob Bosinger Memorial Head to Head Race Weekend.; 12 years ago, Rob Bosinger, aka, BoZo, CAST Alumni, Olympian and Coach, assisted a group of Head to Head Racing fans in starting a Head to Head Alpine Race series at Sunshine Village. In 2005, at the age of 38, Rob Bosinger passed away in his sleep due to Sudden Arrythmia Death Syndrome; SADS. The following year, the race became known as The BoZo Cup Pro-Am, and each year since, hundreds of racers of all ages, and racing abilities, ascend Sunshine Village to compete head to head; a racing style that BoZo loved.

For the past five years, Family & Friends have been hosting the Rob Bosinger Gentle Giant Slalom, a team event, that in conjunction with the Warm-up and Victory Parties, has raised over $100,000 over the past five years, supporting The Canadian SADS Foundation, and the annual, nominated, Rob Bosinger Alpine Ski Scholarship.

The Scholarship recipients are nominated for showing the characters that Rob Bosinger possessed; passion for the sport, ambition and courage, combined with talent and accomplishment, in pursuit of excellence in ski racing in Alberta.
