History of Head to Head Racing
Head to Head Racing is the most spectator friendly, and racer competitive ski race format there is. In 1998, a few ski racing friends, wanted to join forces to produce a head to head race series here in Alberta; Greg Scott, President of Alberta Alpine, Jim Read and Rob Bosinger, both Olympians and CAST Alumni. They all loved head to head racing. Adventure Marketing worked with the group and created the Head to Head Alpine Ski Series. The pro/am has been dubbed different names over the past 14 years and after the sad and sudden passing of Rob Bosinger in 2005 it will be forever called - The BoZo Cup Pro-AM.
The Head to Head Racing Series is sanctioned by Alpine Canada Alpin, and Alberta Alpine. It must meet all FIS slalom standards, and is officiated by an appointed Technical Delegate.
The Round Robin Dual Slalom race features the past, present and future of Alpine Racing in Canada. The BoZo Cup Pro-AM features FIS juniors, ACA and Alberta Alpine Team Members and ACA Alumni members in exciting head to head race action. The Kinder Cup puts the Sunday Spotlight on the kids as 11 to 14 year olds (K1 and K2) take up the track for more non stop excitement.
